Resolution of The Glendale Democratic Club in support of campaign finance reform for The City of Glendale.

Whereas The Glendale Democratic Club (Club) supports campaign finance reform in order to address both actual conflicts of interest and bias and the perceptions of conflicts of interest and bias, and to level the playing field for all candidates for office in Glendale municipal elections;

Therefore be it resolved that the Club supports placing a cap on campaign contributions to any one campaign given by any person or entity to $250 per election.

Therefore be it further resolved that the Club supports requiring a councilmember to disclose and recuse him or her self from voting on any matter before Council if the councilmember has received a campaign contribution from the applicant or the applicant's agent(s) within twelve months prior to the vote.
