Resolution of The Glendale Democratic Club recommending that The Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee adapt the following.

Whereas more than 200 members of the US House of Representatives have cosponsored Representative Adam Schiff’s nonbinding resolution which recognizes The Armenian Genocide in the former Ottoman Empire.

Whereas sufficient evidence exists to support the claim of genocide against Armenians in the former Ottoman Empire from 1915-23.

Whereas this nonbinding resolution has been held up at the behest of a foreign government, even though the elected representatives of the United States Congress are responsible to those who elected them, not a foreign government.

Therefore be it resolved that the Los Angeles County Democratic Party Central Committee wishes to see the Armenian Genocide Resolution brought before the US House of Representatives for a vote.

Therefore be it further resolved that Los Angeles County Democratic Party Central Committee supports passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution by the US House of Representatives.
